Who Is Moody Boots

Moody is the name of Dr Silva’s dog. She’s a rescue Japanese Chin who has

inspired the musical content of Moody Boots. The songs by Moody Boots are

written and sung by Dr. Leslie Silva about dogs that she’s come across in her

daily practice and world travels. Each song tells a story about a unique dog and

their world. All the things that make them special. Amongst the dog songs is a

single cat song of a cat named Catfish, who ruled the world. RIP Agent Catfish

“Fishy”.

A song about a dog named after Mickey Mantle’s retired number 7. A real true history buff, loves the balls and loves the game. He dreams of one day playing in the big leagues and he finally gets his one shot. This song follows Seven through the whole game on his big day.

Fifi Falafel

- The famous Fifi is a New Yorker. Dr Silva met her on a flight

coming back from Norway in 2022. The perfect hair, in the perfect travel bag. It

was in baggage claim they had a chance meet and soon after the song was

written. Their paths crossed for only a moment, but this song represents all the

dogs who love to travel and explore the world. Everywhere she goes, everyone

she knows.

A Great Dane/Pitty mix from Placerville. Bubba was rescued from a backyard in Los Angeles where he’d been bandoned. He was moved to Placerville, Ca at the age of 2 and he found himself loving the Mountain Dog Life.  A city dog who in his heart was a mountain dog through and through. Hiding from his shadows and watching birds/turkeys all day.

“Noodle Girl” - is a song about Moody and her movements through the break

room at work. She was often seen shaking down staff for noodles out of their lunch bags. She was nicknamed ‘Noodle Girl’ and hence the song came to be.

"Take Me Home" is a song about a shelter dog that keeps messing up and

getting returned to the shelter. Don’t worry, he finds his furever home in the end. This song highlights how many of these abandoned dogs don’t understand what they do wrong and they just want to go home. Give a shelter dog a chance to make you happy.

The one lone cat song. A street cat who runs with the dogs, harasses all the yorkies. He was a menace and yet also the love of our lives. RIP sweet Fishy. He will forever live on through this song describing a day in the life.

One of my favorite songs, no doubt. Soleah is still alive. She’s a 14 yo

Golden Retriever who lives in Sacramento, CA. This song is from the perspective of knowing that the day of saying goodbye is fast approaching. It goes through the stages of grief. How hard it is to love a dog and have to let them go as they get older and more frail. Finally accepting that the day has arrived and you’re gonna love them forever.

A very famous dog most known for his dock jumping, but to those who

knew him best… he was the Bestest Dog ever. Found on the side of the road and sick as a baby, he grew into the most handsome German Shepherd.

#Teamtucker is how many have met him. This song is co-written by a local singer

songwriter, Hans Eberbach. Hans delivered the lead vocal, but Dr. Silva is heard in the pre-chorus/chorus. In the prime of Tucker's life he was diagnosed with Wobbler's Disease. There was no cure for him and as he declined it was his spirit that kept him going. No matter how many times he fell down, he kept on fighting.

RIP Tucker.
